How to Master Team
Microscope Efficiency
Without disrupting your dental practice
Living Pain Free - and being a healthy dentist
It started off as an occasional little twinge in the shoulder.
Then my upper back was a bit sore.
Followed by tightness in my neck and lower back.

These were the painful feelings that, just like many other dentists, I once faced.

You probably have been in a similar situation.

How did I break the cycle?

By choosing my future, so I could continue to enjoy my life outside of dentistry.
So I could still have a career and not let it cripple me.

So that my patients would still be cared for.

It started with learning how to use the microscope properly. These skills not only got rid of all physical pain but changed my working life.

The working environment was much more enjoyable for my entire team. There was more flow throughout the procedures. I was much quicker – giving me time to see more patients during the day.

I was happier.

When there was a new staff member, I could train them to perform at the highest level of teamwork and efficiency. This is something that a lot of dentists and other assistants have problems with.

I was looking forward to being a dentist again.

Dr Dale Jung,
endodontist,
California, USA
"I’ve been a practising endodontist for 14 years. For the past 10 years, I’ve worked on my ergonomics and thought I had everything covered. While I have been able to practise pain-free in most situations, I’ve been struggling in terms of efficiency. After certain procedures, I started to develop neck and back strain and hand fatigue.

I started training with Kehn and it’s been humbling to realise that my staff and I have developed some bad habits over the years. In a short amount of time, he has helped me make some changes that have allowed our team to practice effortlessly.

I’ve noticed that my procedures have become more streamlined which has resulted in less chair time. I look forward to further progress as I advance through the program. Whether you’re a young clinician or more experienced, you can benefit from Kehn’s coaching. It will pay dividends in the future. Thank you Kehn! You rock!"
Using the microscope for health, safety and efficiency
I’m going to show you how you can be efficient by using the microscope with a team approach.

How to avoid all the back, neck and shoulder pain that other dentists choose to live with and suffer from.

Give you learning modules so that you can easily train new staff to work seamlessly with your team – so that all assistants can operate with the highest level of teamwork.

And also, how to waste less clinical time and do procedures more efficiently, giving you more time and freedom.

These are such valuable skills for any dentist to have – so that you can improve your professional and personal quality of life.
If only there was a way to learn what I did – plus more – in half the time it took me.

A walkthrough would be so valuable.

Even some instructional videos, to show you how it’s done.

After all, they don’t teach you this at University, or at regular one or two day Continuing Education courses.

Now it’s your turn.

I want to give you and your team the microscope skills for maximum efficiency, in a training programme that you can implement in a busy private practice.

Hey - I’m Kehn, and over the past 9 years I’ve been able to learn how to get rid of the physical pain caused by dentistry.

This was only possible by learning how to use the microscope properly and training my team, so that we can work together using the microscope, in a healthy and safe environment.

Throughout this journey I was able to develop strategies so that anyone can learn to be an expert in microscope use and reap the physical and professional benefits.

Fortunately I was gifted the opportunity to teach teams of dentists and assistants at international conferences how to use the microscope, how to train together and how to operate at maximum efficiency.
This is something I still continue to do.
The step by step blueprint for success that I wish
we had access to 9 years ago!
I would’ve jumped at the opportunity to:

• Learn the most helpful ergonomic strategies for every clinical situation – whether it’s examination, documentation, restorative or even surgical procedures.

• Be given a step-by-step guide for training assistants – even with no microscope or limited dental experience.

• Understand how to troubleshoot my own ergonomic and efficiency issues – for rapid and significant improvement.

• Make better use of my time – so there is less waste, greater productivity and more free time.

These four elements would have prevented years of physical pain and stress.

I can’t even imagine where we’d be if we didn’t have to figure everything out with trial and error.

That’s why I decided to package all these elements (and a whole lot more) into a brand new course that will teach you how to work efficiently and safely as a team, using the microscope.

All of the best kept microscope secrets that are never taught anywhere else. Every process, tactic and training strategy from some of the world’s best operators. Even the attitudes and mindsets that lead to success.

All packaged into an online course that took years of work to create, giving you the exact step-by-step system to follow, so you and your team can become healthy, happy and efficient microscope experts.

"In private practice it's always hard to make improvements. We get busy and making changes takes time. Time that is already spread thin between seeing patients and managing the business side of things, not to mention family life.

Kehn has been instrumental in helping my office make the needed changes for better ergonomics, smoother clinical procedures, and overall general physical health for my chairside assistant and me.

His convenient online videos have given us simple recommendations to improve our posture, technique and clinical setup."

Dr Rebecca Prescott, endodontist, Texas, USA

"I'm really looking forward to learning more and helping my team train on dental ergonomics with Kehn's new course.

I have heard Kehn present on ergonomics at international conferences and have watched him in the operatory, working with patients. His expertise has helped improve our habits and efficiency - as well as incorporate these principles into the design of a new surgery.

Kehn has gained a valuable foundation in ergonomics from a common mentor, one of the early pioneers of the dental microscope, Dr Gary Carr."

Dr David Barnard, endodontist, Sydney, Australia
"I am very keen to recommend Kehn’s new online course. It is unique and without doubt, in my opinion, the very best way to improve the enjoyment and flow of your treatments.

Kehn has researched and practised ergonomics in fine detail over many years. With his beautiful videos he is able to highlight changes in movements that will dramatically affect the way you sit, and improve the flow and efficiency of your work.

My team and I have gained so much from Kehn’s detailed help and I thought we were fairly good before we embarked on the course. Regardless of what stage you are at in your career, it is not too early or late to seriously benefit from this fantastic course. Kehn - a big thank you for putting this programme together!"
Dr Fiona McMichen, endodontist, Surrey, England

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
“What if I don’t have a microscope yet?”

Now is the perfect time to learn key foundational microscope skills before you start your journey to remove the pain that most other dentists experience.
If you have been considering adding a microscope to your practice, part of what you’ll learn is what type of microscope you should – and shouldn’t – be using. This will prepare you so that you now can get the right equipment and not have to make any expensive mistakes by fitting out your office the wrong way.
It’s much easier to learn things the right way first, than to develop bad habits and then struggle to “unlearn” them later.

“Will this course work if I don’t have the exact setup you show?”

Yes. After taking the course, you will end up with microscope skills to take back to your team.
Your current office setup does not mean you can’t improve it or make changes.

“What if I have a busy practice and don’t have a few hours every day to train?”

You only need as little as 30 minutes a day to get started.
I know exactly what it’s like to be in a busy practice, with other commitments and not a lot of spare time.
The format was intentionally designed like this with people like you in mind.
Having the videos available to watch at any time is why I developed this online course. All so that you have a background foundation, ready to implement into training, before you sit down with your team.
You can also go back to modules and revisit lessons in order to get the most out of your team.

“I’m not a motivated person. Will this course work for me?”

No. Being unmotivated is not a valid excuse.
If you want to be the best and are willing to work for it, signing up is exactly for someone like you.
If you want all the microscope ergonomic solutions for your team that have never been offered before, enrolling is your best option.
This course is only for dentists who have the intention of efficiently working without pain – both for them and their assistants.
It’s not for somebody who hates the idea of change.
It’s not for anybody who gets upset that they don’t get instant results.
It’s not for people who can’t accept that a proven ergonomic solution exists – that’s a much better way of practising than their current method.

“How do I know if an assistant will be able to follow the training module?”

Part of the training process is figuring out if a person could successfully complete the program.
Even if improvements are seen, what you'll learn is how to evaluate performance and decide if continued training is worthwhile.
Just like any other task, sometimes it may not result in the outcome everyone wants, and the module includes strategies on how to ensure any new prospective team member can have the best chance of succeeding.

“How can I convince the other practitioners to adopt the teachings in your course?”

You are taking this course in order to create a better and safer environment for you and your assistant.
Once the other dentists and assistants in your practice see the importance in why these team microscope skills are valuable, they too will want to have a life without pain.
They will also want to be part of an efficient team who functions at the highest level.
